Title: Senior Designer – Young Men’s/ Boys Sportswear

Location: New York, NY- Hybrid Schedule

Salary:$100,000 +

 

Job Description: Senior Boys Children’s Designer- sportswear

 

Our client, an iconic fashion brand, is seeking a talented Boys/Young Men’s Designer to join their team. This role will play a crucial part in creating the latest trends maintaining the brand's unique identity.

 

Responsibilities:

- Provide overall designs including creating tech packs and presentation boards for boys’ sportswear

- Maintaining the seasonal design catalog, ensuring all product information is accurate and up to date.

- Strong understanding of garment construction techniques and fabric properties.

- Provide color and reference samples to support the design process.

- Ability to create graphics and prints and direct the graphic artists

- Contribute to the brand's research initiatives, helping to shape the complete landscape of brand development.

- Meet all deadlines in adherence to the seasonal design calendar.

- Undertake special projects as assigned, aligned with the brand's strategic goals.

- Create sketches of cad styles for style development as needed.

- Collaborate closely with the design team to create, update, and prepare technical packs for sampling.

- Track and update the design sample schedule, ensuring all deadlines are met.

 

Requirements:

- Previous experience in a similar role within the fashion industry, preferably in children's wear.

- Strong organizational and time management skills to meet tight deadlines.

- Proficient in creating tech packs, presentation boards, and sketches.

- Knowledge of fabrics color theory and ability to provide accurate color

 and reference samples.

- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for design and trends.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, creative environment.

- Excellent communication and coordination skills.

- Familiarity with design software and tools is a plus.

 

Skills:

Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design

6+ years of experience in related Children's field

Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite

Excellent organizational and communication skills with attention to detail
