Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced BC - FEDEX Grounds Package Delivery Manager. The Operations Manager (Business Contact) is the key liaison between the FedEx Ground terminal and the contracted delivery team. This role ensures smooth daily operations, supervises delivery drivers, maintains service and safety standards, and executes strategies to optimize route efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and support a team of FedEx Ground P&D drivers across assigned routes
• Act as the primary point of contact (BC) between FedEx terminal management and the contracted business
• Be familiar with DRO Fedex System.
• Manage scheduling, dispatching, and coverage for all delivery routes
• Monitor route efficiency, scan compliance, and on-time delivery performance
• Ensure DOT and FedEx safety and compliance standards are met at all times
• Conduct daily check-ins and check-outs, debrief drivers, and resolve operational issues
• Coordinate truck maintenance and ensure fleet readiness and safety compliance
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new drivers
• Handle corrective action, performance reviews, and support driver development
• Monitor and report key metrics (service performance, exceptions, staffing needs, etc.)
• Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and professionalism within the team
• Be available for early morning starts, weekends, and peak season flexibility

Qualifications:

• Prior FedEx Ground, logistics, or delivery operations experience preferred
• Proven experience in team supervision or operations management
• Strong understanding of DOT and FMCSA safety compliance
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and handle high-pressure situations
• Proficient with basic computer systems (FedEx scanners, route software, etc.)
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Must pass a background check and drug screening

Preferred Skills:

• FedEx BC/ISP experience highly preferred
• Experience with route mapping, dispatching, and managing driver schedules
• Familiarity with FedEx Ground procedures, terminals, and scanner technology
• CDL is a plus but not required
