Job Summary

Summary: We are seeking a motivated and efficient food runner to support our Jazz game-day operations. The food runner will be responsible for delivering food and beverages promptly and accurately from the kitchen/pantry to designated areas, ensuring guests receive their orders in a timely manner. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to providing excellent service in a fast-paced sports environment. Essential duties and responsibilities:

Core duties:

• Retrieve supplies and product from warehouse and kitchen.
• Support attendants with buffet restocking and alcohol orders (if 21 years or older).
• Refill pantry stations as needed.

Pre-shift:

• Verify inventory levels and expected needs.
• Collect all hot and cold food from the kitchen 1.5 hours before doors open to guests.
• Place food on buffet and assist attendants with ensuring the suite is "Show Ready".
• Coordinate with shift lead for warehouse runs.

In-service:

• Fulfill requests for buffet items, soda, water, and alcohol (if 21+).
• Constantly bus and clean suite, remove all products not in use.
• Deliver appropriate suites or pantries efficiently.
• Rotate stock as needed.

Post-shift:

• Organize pantry storage.
• Return excess or unused product.
• Clean restock runner carts and bins.
• Restock all cutlery, cups, napkins, and plates each night. All supplies can be found in the pantry. If product is running low, notify manager.

Qualifications & requirements:

• Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or event support preferred.
• Strong organizational and inventory management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work effectively under pressure in a high-energy environment.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation protocols.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based around Utah Jazz schedule.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Must obtain valid Utah Food Handlers Permit.
• Must obtain valid Utah On-Premise Alcohol Certificate (if 21 years of age or older).
